Born in Speyer, Germany, Ulrike (née Bertl) enjoyed a stimulating lifestyle due to the frequent moves in her young life.

After her parents build a house in Markgroningen near Stuttgart everyone looked forward to some permanency. Alas, the parents divorced, schools changed, college started, the first job was taken...

At age 18 she spend six months in South Africa with the wish to return to this beautiful country. Six years later that wish came true with her adventurous immigration to Africa. Several years later she met her husband Harry Entwistle in Johannesburg where they both worked for an engineering company in the Sugar Industry.

Harry and Ulrike married soon and the newlyweds continued to travel and move from one project to the next. In 2000 they settled down in Sugar Mill Country Club in beautiful New Smyrna Beach.

Unfortunately Harry died in July 2002, but Ulrike realized this was now her hometown and she has lived and worked her ever since.
